She’s the storyteller of her village, called a cuentista, and her job is to take the confessions of the people in her village and give them back to their god Solís. When she realizes things aren’t quite as they seem, she leaves her village on a quest to define her life on her own terms.
This book is tender and, at times, very scary! If you want to read a book that’s lyrically written and will break your heart into a million pieces only to pick them back up again, you’ll definitely want to pick this up.”
