“Reading is a discount ticket to everywhere.” —Mary Schmich
We read best alone in a comfy chair, but we also love that reading is a communal activity that gets better when you share your thoughts, frustrations and glamorous pictures with the world. So every month we celebrate Tor Teen readers who use their incredible talents, vision, and social savvy to share their reading with the world
In July, we got into the near-magical bookstagram skills of Hikari of Folded Pages Distillery, and this month we’re featuring Danny of @thebookorder!

What they’re all about:
What got you into Bookstagram?
When I first started out on Bookstagram, I would just post the cover of my current read (not the most aesthetic looking photos…). Eventually, I realized my DLSR was just sitting around collecting dust and instead I could be using it to take my book photos. Little did I know, there was a whole community of people also posting book photos! I’ve had the most amazing time interacting with so many book readers around the world. There’s no better feeling than having someone say they read and loved a book based on your recommendation.
What’s one YA trope you can’t get enough of?
The one YA trope I can’t get enough of is hate-to-love romance. I’m not always the biggest fan when it comes to romance in books, but there’s something about this trope that gets me every time. I think the tension between the two characters and waiting for the moment they realize they have feelings for each other.
