Meet the Notorious Families of Ilvernath in All of Us Villains

All of Us Villians

The Blood Moon rises. The Blood Veil falls. The Tournament begins. And the villains are ready to kill.

In All of Us Villains, readers meet the seven champions chosen by their families to compete in this bloody, magical tournament—to the death. All for exclusive control over a secret wellspring of high magick, the most powerful resource in the world.

Continue reading to learn more about four of these cutthroat families. May the best villain win.

The Lowes shaped cruelty

The Lowes: “The Lowes shaped cruelty into a crown, and oh, they wear it well.”

To no one’s surprise, Alistair Lowe is named the champion for the elite and powerful Lowe family. The Lowes are cruel, wealthy, and dangerous, making Alistair the clear frontrunner…as long as he remains trusting of his bloodline.

The Thorburns: “The Thorburn family loves nothing as much as they love their own reflections.”

Briony Thorburn believes she is the only logical choice as the Thorburn champion, and will do whatever it takes to become sole victor. Raised on the Thorburn estate by extended family, Briony and her sister Innes learned much about their family history, which glorified them as heroes for how they bettered Ilvernath with their use of high magick.

The Macaslans: “Though it was seven great families who originally founded the tournament, it’s important to remember—that was a long time ago. Not all of them have remained great.”

Printing her name before the family had made a decision, the papers named Isobel Macaslan as the first champion of the tournament. When her family then jumps on the bandwagon, Isobel feels a sense of duty to enter the tournament, in hopes of finally fitting in and standing out.

The Grieves: “A Grieve has never benefited from the tournament. For us, and perhaps us alone, it truly is a curse.”

The Grieves are expected to fail. Determined to prove that he is not another disappointment, Gavin wants to bring respect and admiration to the Grieve name…as long as he doesn’t die first.
